Well, Kiana just had another checkup - she's gaining weight like a sumo wrestler. She's up around 5kg, which is in the normal and very healthy range. The extraordinary thing is that she's getting very long (I'd use the word "taller" if she wasn't always on her back). People have been commenting on it - and even the doctor made note of it. Apparently she's inheriting her mother's gene for height (Novita is pretty tall for an Indonesia woman).
We have started her immunizations after a short scolding from the doctor as to our long wait. I was concerned about getting immunizations from blood that wasn't screened properly. According to the doctor I was worried for nothing - they aren't made from human blood and come from Australia.
Kiana sleeps through most of the night - and generally only awakes because we have to set an alarm to remember to feed her. Her parents are the ones who are sleep deprived!
She is now able to roll over onto her side, she's able to make many new sounds, and is overall a very happy little baby!
We'll be taking her to the south coast of Java next week to a beautiful coastal getaway - I hope she likes the beach!
